Welcome to the Pendleton School- a college preparatory school on the grounds of IMG Academies.  Our school enhances the Greek ideal of “strong mind and strong body” with an emphasis upon the development of strong character.  We customize our academic programs to allow students to focus upon both academic and athletic pursuits in balance with each other.  Although one’s passion for athletics may be paramount at this stage in a young person’s life, we pride ourselves in the development of intellectual and emotional awareness.

     Pendleton offers programs for pre-school age children through grade 12, and embraces a strong international student population (nearly 1/3 of the students!)- a truly global educational environment.       We have an English as a Second Language (ESL) program for students who would benefit from additional English language support.

     Our dedicated faculty and support staff work with our students to provide a strong academic climate here at The Pendleton School. The faculty members maintain web sites which provide important information for our students and their parents. The faculty members also communicate by e-mail with students and their families, in order to continue the educational process outside of the school day. During the evenings, our faculty members are available on a weekly schedule to provide a Directed Learning experience.

     Our class sizes are small, allowing for class discussion and more individual attention. Smaller class sizes are also a tremendous asset to those international students who are working on mastery of the English language. If students are interested in more educational support, we have our Learning Resource Center. Through the LRC we can also meet the needs of students with specialized educational plans and accommodations.

     Additional opportunities exist for our students through the University of Miami and Game On, an exciting theater arts and communication program, both which have offices on the grounds of IMG Academies. The University of Miami not only offers English as a Second Language, but also is developing dual enrollment opportunities.

     The Pendleton School is a wonderfully unique school in a beautiful West Coast Florida setting. Together, in a close working relationship with IMG Academies, we work toward bringing out the best character in our students, academically and athletically.
