The Pendleton School offers two options for students who
require additional academic support.
The Learning Specialist assists students with documented learning disabilities who may need extra academic support. This contracted service includes assistance with organizational skills, outlining text chapters, aid in completing specific assignments, and projects and additional services based on the specific needs of each participating student. The Learning Specialist meets with students several times per week to ensure that assignments are current and to help with the strengthening of academic skills.
The Learning Specialist works with the faculty make certain that students with accommodations have up to date educational plans and aids in the paperwork process for accommodations on the SAT and ACT.
The tuitorial program is available for students who do not
have documented learning diabilities, but require additional
support. The tutorial teachers assist studnts with
organization, time management, and work completion depending on
the induvidual needs of the students.
